Autodesk has been a RazPR client since 2004, when we first started representing the company’s 3D animation software for visual effects and game development. That engagement expanded into supporting the entire Autodesk Media & Entertainment team across visual effects and animation toolsets for film, broadcast, games and design visualization.
Over the years we have been with this group through more than ten acquisitions, a major rebranding effort (remember Discreet Logic?) and have been able to meet some really remarkable people along the way—both within Autodesk and among the talented artists and designers that use their tools.
We recently had the opportunity to spend some time in San Francisco with Autodesk and over eighty journalists from around the world at the company’s global product launch event. From beginning to end—starting with a peek into the future from company CEO Carl Bass and closing with a studio tour of Industrial Light & Magic—being in SF reminded us what a privilege it is to work with a company like Autodesk. The benefits of having many years of shared history and being tightly integrated with their in-house team are immeasurable. We spent the better part of our visit in-and-around Autodesk’s stunning gallery with views of the historic Ferry Building. The gallery is a showcase for how customers around the world use Autodesk’s products to design smarter buildings, manufacture greener products, make movie magic and build better communities. We left inspired, happy and well-caffeinated thanks to the company’s signature offering—freshly brewed Peet’s coffee stationed at every turn. Check out pictures from our visit here.
